Human Descent

September 1st, 2008

I recently stumbled upon some crazy artwork on www.deviantart.com that really caught my attention. I dug a little deeper and found the artist’s website. I highly recommend everyone check it out because the detail in the blending is truly amazing. Some is funny and some is gross, either way, I liked it.

Fable 2 Pub Games

August 21st, 2008

With my background in marketing, I have to give Fable 2 props for their brilliant sample of the mini games you will experience in Fable 2. This was a great idea to start building the crave for the full game by giving players the option to start adding to their bank account while unlocking unique items that can be used in the full game, as well as the money you achieve.

Out of the 3, my personal favorite is Fortune’s Tower, a card game that allows for the most strategy. Keystone takes second but the tournament play can sometimes go on forever. To me, Spinnerbox is totally pointless. All you do is hit one button and wait to see what happens. In tournament mode, you have to do it 100 times just to find out that you did not place and that you have to do it all over again. Spinnerbox hurt the overall rating for this release.

What happened to spelling?

July 25th, 2008

I find it sad and disturbing when I read emails that are littered with spelling errors. I know that I am not a great speller, more like decent, but I cringe when I receive emails asking about employment opportunities for a web design company and the word “design” is spelled wrong. I’m sure that a good amount of errors are related to the fast paced world we live in where there is not a single minute to spare and rereading a message is simply considered a waste of time. This is not an excuse.

4th of July

July 4th, 2008

Did you know that the American national anthem, the “Star-Spangled Banner,” is set to the tune of an English drinking song (”To Anacreon in Heaven”). With that being said, crack open a few beers and enjoy this Fourth of July weekend.

Bike Crash

June 21st, 2008

I recently removed the clip in pedals on my mountain bike because I thought I was going to kill myself. I kept crashing on really simple stuff. But even with flats on my bike I had a nasty crash last night and my knee is a mangled mess. I was getting ready to do a small jump when my chain popped off and twisted making my back tire lock up while I went over the handle bars. When I got home, I was hoping to get a cool picture but my wife’s first reaction was to clean off the dirt and blood. Typical nurse….

Robert Muraine Audition on So You Think You Can Dance.

Everytime I post a different version of this video it gets taken down. That is ok though because I lost some respect for him when he did not even try to compete.
